Welcome to NBTA England
NBTA is a non-profit making organisation formed for the advancement of Baton Twirling and its associated activities. The aims of the NBTA are to provide all twirlers and their associates, teachers, judges, parents and corps directors with an active programme of events and to promote the common interest of said events at all levels within a competition structure. The National Baton Twirling Association is framed and held together by two great principles: FAIRNESS AND DEMOCRACY.
On this site you will find information on joining NBTA, what events we offer (see Schedule of Events & Rulebook) along with our Competition dates and venues.
NBTA England is a member of both WFNBTA and NBTA Europe, thereby offering its members opportunities to compete at both World and European level.
The NBTA year runs from 1st Jan - 31st Dec, with competitions taking place Feb - Oct.
The age determination date for an athlete is 31st Dec of the current competition year i.e. for 2021, for regional & national competitions throughout the whole year, an athlete's age is how old they are on 31st Dec 2021.
NBTA England was delighted to announce that it would be jointly hosting the 2021 IBTF World Baton Twirling Championships with the B.B.T.S.A. at the M&S Arena, Liverpool. Regrettably, both the WFNBTA and the WBTF 2020 World Championships have been postponed to 2021 due to Covid-19, therefore the IBTF World Championships in Liverpool will now be held in August 2022. Watch out for further information on this amazing event, as you will definitely want to be a part of this.
